"I Could Be Much Further Than I Am Today..."

Happy Wednesday! I hope you are having a great week so far! As always thanks for tuning in again. Let’s jump right into it, shall we…..I was working with someone recently and when creating small talk and getting to know one another he said one phrase that really sat with me:

“I have been in my career for 10 years, but I could be much further than I am now….”

Wow, those words really made me stop and think I don’t want to be 5 years, 10, or even 15 years from now and even think for a second that I could have achieved more than I have. Now, the reality of the matter is it is easy to think I am going to achieve x, y, and z this week. However, it is much harder to actually push yourself when your mind and body are trying to get you to do otherwise to accomplish these goals you set.

So, the question is how do you make sure that you aren’t able to say these words down the road?

We all feel like we have not necessarily exerted the amount of effort at times that we could have potentially due to laziness, excuses, and other life events that can take our time and attention away.

However, the time is now!

If you take even one small initiative today, you will be closer to achieving what you desire than if you keep procrastinating day after day. Goals can be OVERWHELMING! Trust me. We all have so much in our head that we want to achieve and do that we barely even know when and where to usually start.

So let’s begin by you taking out a piece of paper and writing down your goals.

Writing down your goals helps you visualize them more and get all the confusion and swirling of and about them out of your head into concrete form onto paper. Now, think about what smaller steps and goals you need to take to reach that ultimate goal?

Because the reality of the matter is, that if you keep putting it off you will be in the same position as this person was.

Now I am not criticizing him by any means, but even he himself said he wanted to start to initiate taking those steps to become even more successful in his career. You do not want to live with regret! Time flies and realistically you are the youngest you will even be again right now in this current moment.!

So, get real with what is important to you…

Get real with what you want to achieve in your life. Set some goals, take control of your mind and work through procrastination, and stop putting your success and goals on hold for another day! Today is the day to begin to achieve them. It is never too late to start working toward your goals!

Because you deserve to be happy, to feel accomplished, and to live out your dreams and make them even bigger than you could even imagine.

Make today the day you take action, put your fears of failure behind you, and take the baby step or leap that will make you closer to where you want to be! You got this, I believe in you!

xoxo
