Inner Negative Talk

You are about to approach the most beautiful girl/guy you have ever seen or you are about to walk into your dream job interview. You are feeling so excited and optimistic. Then bam, that little voice inside your head says that you are not good enough for the person or the job. Your confidence falls to the ground and afterwards, you know you did not do your best work.

IT IS CRAZY THAT THE NEGATIVE EMOTIONS THAT WE HAVE BUILT UP IN OUR BODIES CAN HOLD US BACK FROM REACHING OUR FULL POTENTIAL AND ACHIEVING EVERYTHING THAT WE ARE FULLY CAPABLE OF DOING.

We may have created these fears and insecurities from past experiences, people’s negative words, or from our childhood.

THE TRICKY THING IS HOW TO MINIMIZE THE NEGATIVE TALK IN OUR HEADS AND RISE HIGHER THAN IT ALLOWS US TO THINK WE CAN.

It is funny because we think that we control our lives, but these negative thoughts are really controlling us. Now the tricky part is how to do you minimize them and take over your life again?

THE ANSWER TO THAT IS TO KNOW YOUR SELF-WORTH.

To know that the voice in your head is only your fears and insecurities and to know that you are higher and better than that. Also, I highly suggest starting to journal. You can get deep into why and how you feel a certain way deeper by writing down your feelings and it creates a sense of relief to put your emotions down in words, rather than having them only swirl around inside your head.

THE MIND WORKS IN A SENSE WHERE IT CAN FEEL OVERWHELMING WHEN YOU DO NOT WRITE ALL THESE FEELINGS AND EMOTIONS OUT.

Now note I am not a psychologist but this is what I have learned from reading many books, my own experiences, and hearing my friends’ experiences as well.

GETTING TO THE ROOT OF WHY THESE WORDS HOLD YOU BACK WILL NOT ONLY ALTER YOUR CAPABILITIES BUT WILL MAKE YOU FEEL MORE AT EASE AND AT PEACE WITHIN YOURSELF.

Learning how to get deep with yourself and start to understand why you feel a certain way, think certain things, and your actions can help you start to learn and think more positively. Then you can ultimately feel better about yourself and start to appreciate your accomplishments in life.

SO, START JOURNALING.

Start getting in touch with your feelings, and start turning all those negative thoughts in your head into positive thoughts. It will not be a one-and-done switch, but it is a process that will make you grow closer to who you are and start to love yourself more deeply.

Now go get some positive thinking started!
