A Reminder for the Rest of 2022: Consistency is the Key to Motivation
Hi everyone, hope you are having a great week so far! Crazy that it is already November. This year has really flown by! As this year comes to a close we are all probably looking back at these past months and analyzing what we have or have not accomplished. I feel as the year starts to get to a close we start to get lazy.
If we have not achieved a goal that we wished to accomplish we give up altogether.
Yet, there are still over 6 weeks that you have to get closer to what you wanted to check off of that list. See the thing is when we set goals we usually underestimate how much work, dedication, motivation, and time it will take to make them a reality.
It is very easy to sit and write down: “I want to make 6 figures this year, I want to get into the best shape of my life, I want to make great friends.”
Yet, sadly six figures do not just automatically appear in your account. You won’t wake up tomorrow with abs when you have not worked out in years, and unless you put some energy and time into trying to establish new relationships you aren’t going to wake up with a new gang of friends.
The thing is that in order to achieve our goals it is not a “let’s sit down and accomplish them in one day.”
Real life-changing goals take time. They are hard to achieve and your motivation likely fluctuates.
The only way to knock off those goals is to create some consistency in your life that is going to help you accomplish these goals.
I feel the whole beauty of making a goal is you are trying to increase your quality of life overall. You do not set and achieve a goal to lose 50 pounds just to sit back the following year and eat McDonald’s and never work out again in your life.
You set a goal to help yourself reach the next step, the next pedestal that is going to help you reach an even bigger goal.
So as this year starts to come to an end look back over your list of what you wanted to check off this year. I bet you have accomplished some things you did not even realize that you had initially desired to achieve. If you did not reach some other goals it isn’t too late. Start working today to try to achieve the goal and even if you can’t accomplish it when the ball drops into 2023, you will at least have a good foundation to really check off that goal this upcoming year.
Each day is a new day filled with new seconds, minutes, and hours.
Don’t let procrastination and fear keep you from growing into the best version of yourself. Go get that best version of you today! You got this.
Let’s make the rest of this year the beginning of creating something great, long-lasting, and lead us into an even better life to come.
xoxo
