The Misconception of Letting Money Define Us
Oh Money, this little world that can seem like the holy grail or the devil. It is crazy that money that is literally just printed paper with monetary value has grown to be something that people stress over, cry over, kill over, and fight over.
Money brings all the emotions whether we want them or not.
The double whammy about money is you can’t just stop caring about it because then sadly you will more than likely end up broke, on the street, and maybe even homeless.
However, we have to learn to let money not define our self-worth.
Money is amazing in the fact that if you are what we call “rolling in the dough” you can literally afford anything you can possibly desire. However, how do we learn to not let money define our self-worth? At the end of the day, money is just paper.
If you took money away, would you like the person that you are left with underneath and inside your soul?
In this society where you can buy practically everything you want with money and reinvent yourself with new products and things, we need to remember to define ourselves with our deeper qualities. These qualities are the real aspects of us and our lives that we should take pride in.
The real question is….if someone took away all the money in the world tomorrow and made it obsolete, would be you happy with who you are as a person?
The moral of the story is to make sure in this society of excess that you remember to stay grounded, true to yourself and your values, and ultimately who you are as a person. These inner qualities will stay with you throughout your whole life no matter what financial status you have, the turbulences life brings, or the moments of prosperity or economic downturns.
I wish you all the best and remember your soul is more important than money!
Now go kick some ass and have a killer day!
xoxo
