Breaking Your Routine
We all have that routine that we begin and somehow five years down the road you may or may not be doing a very similar variation of that routine again this morning, afternoon, or evening. The routine is comforting and something that you identify with who you are. It has become a part of what makes you well you.
You may not realize that your routine is making you stagnant with where you are at in your life.
Routines are great in life because they can make you disciplined, feel put together, and give you a schedule to follow each and every day. However, what if that schedule you are setting for yourself is adding to your laziness and your unhappiness with your life.
That routine could be keeping you from making new leaps, advances, and doing new tasks and skills that could add to a bigger and better life.
I am guilty of falling into routines myself. I will get so caught up in the motions that each day it becomes like one big film being replayed over and over and I am the main character trying to redo the day correctly. It takes away from the happiness and the excitement of life because you begin to feel that you are just going through the motions.
Now, I am not saying you have to live a spirtatic life and can never do the same things each day.
However, I am saying be open to adding new things into your life daily. Add new activities, tasks, or whatever it may be. This might mean start listening to new podcasts that inspire you, do yoga somedays, read a new book, or even mix up your normal coffee shop routine and go study or work elsewhere.
These minor changes in your life can not only uplift your spirit, but make your soul eager for more excitement and new changes to come into your life.
So instead of living a long repetitive life, wake up and do something new today that is going to give you smile and eagerness to wake up another day and be a part of this game of life. Stop being stagnant and let’s make small changes that can lead to bigger and more exciting changes coming into our lives!
I believe in you as always!
